Frankie and Jenn's Adoption Adventure
September 21, 2013, was one of the happiest days of our lives. It was the day we committed ourselves to each other before God with our friends and family by our side.
Throughout our 9 wonderful years of marriage, we have experienced some of the greatest joys and sorrows.
God has blessed us with 11 beautiful souls. Sadly, they have all left us far too soon; there were 10 miscarriages and 1 ectopic pregnancy. With each pregnancy, we felt the excitement, joy, and love as new parents should. Unfortunately, we also experienced the devastating sorrow and sadness with each loss. And the ectopic (February 2015) had left us with only one fallopian tube, making it more difficult to get pregnant.
In May of 2019, I was diagnosed with having low progesterone, so we proceeded with supplements. In December of 2019, I was diagnosed with possible endometriosis and had exploratory surgery in January 2020. Around that time as well, it was determined that I could possibly not be ovulating. I was started on injections and medications to try to ensure a large and fertile follicle and ensure ovulation.
We were unsuccessful at achieving a pregnancy until July 2021. It was our first pregnancy in 3 years, and we were so excited! All the medications, injections, tracking, timing, it was all so much, but all so worth it. Unfortunately, we were met with our 10th loss. Although all the sorrow filled our hearts again, we were reminded of all the loss that Our Blessed Mother endured as God’s will was being fulfilled.
Through all of our highs and lows, we have been able to help so many others in their time of need and have hopefully planted many seeds of love for our Lord in others that they may draw closer to Him.
We have decided to turn to adoption and are praying that God will answer our prayers for children.
Each of you have impacted our lives in one way or another. We kindly ask that you consider helping us grow our family by becoming a piece of our adoption story.
One of the hardest parts about adoption is that there are many costs associated with it. This includes, but is not limited to, medical expenses for the biological mother, home visits, inspections, and case worker fees. There might also be expenses for flights to visit or pick up the child if he/she is located in a different city. This could include travel expenses for hotel stays, rental cars, and food along the way. To offset these costs, we have decided to do a Prayer Puzzle. Visit the ‘Updates’ page to find updates on the prayer puzzle and follow along with our adoption adventure.
More information on how to help us fundraise can be found in the ‘Donate’ page.
We hope you will join our adventure and we extend our deepest gratitude from the bottom of our hearts!
