02-22-2022 must be a lucky date! We had received a call from Catholic Charities of North Dakota! Finally!! We were at the top of their list, and we had the opportunity to attend the Infant Adoption Education Training if we felt this was the right time for us to pursue adoption.

                We have been on the waiting list for adoption through Catholic Charities of ND since 2017. At the time, we were looking into a few different adoption routes, but still had hopes for conceiving naturally, so we decided to put a hold on proceeding forward. We had received an opportunity with Catholic Charities in 2019, but due to the immense cost, we were unable to commit. In September 2021, we were asked by four friends, all from different friend groups, how things were going on the adoption front. We saw this as a very clear sign from God that we should pursue adoption again. It was at this point that we were introduced to the idea of a fundraising puzzle. We proceeded with purchasing the puzzle and looked more into various adoption agencies. In February 2022, both Frankie and I changed jobs and we moved to Grand Forks after selling our house in Fargo. Frankie was also dealing with harder classes in school as he approached the end of his second bachelors. We were starting to think that maybe adoption would need to wait a little while longer due to all that was happening. However, God had other plans and that’s when we had received the ever-waited call from Catholic Charities, and our training was scheduled for March 10, 2022.
